The PROPER set up for Ventrilo

Here is the CORRECT way to set-up Ventrilo

**IN BF2 Make sure that you "Uncheck" VOIP in Sound Settings**

You will need a Headset/Microphone combination to use Ventrilo.
Using your speakers and a microphone is NOT ALLOWED because
is gives nasty feedback to all others who are in the Vent channel

Get a rig like this - about $16.00
Logitech Premium Stereo Headset (DO NOT GET USB OPTION)

1. Make sure that you have the correct drivers for your sound card
2. Using "On Board" sound cards have known issues with Ventrilo and many games

Here are correct Ventrilo settings:

In the first settings box, you will have to choose the correct option
for YOUR computer from the 3 drop down boxes

MAKE SURE that "Check for new version" box is BLANK

NOTE: Those who become a nuisance or an annoyance to others on Vent
will be subject to banning. We offer this FREE Vent to everyone and
we use it to get to know our new recruits.

When people monopolize the chat or tie it up with constant nonsense,
the public channel ends up being completely useless and discourages
any new members from using it the way it was intended to be used so
please keep idle chatter to a minimum
